Wolds Gliding Club
If you’d like to see the Yorkshire Wolds from the air then try your hand at gliding – the Wolds Gliding Club is less than 15 minutes from the North Star. They offer lessons for a range of abilities and can even organise evening flying parties for groups.

Allerthorpe Park – Watersports
If water sports are more your thing, then why not pop up the road to Allerthorpe Lake Park? They have 53 acres of grounds and lakes, you can go sailing, windsurfing, fishing or try your hand at paddlesports.

Clay Pigeon Shooting
Set in 35 acres of the rolling Wolds, Monckton Shooting Ground is a stunning setting for clay pigeon shooting, at over 160 feet high it boasts one of the highest towers in the country and best of all its just 10 minutes from the woodland!
