Overview

About VERANA

Floating above the Bay of Banderas and embraced by the mountains of the Valle de la Sierra Oriental rests VERANA.

Facebook

This small, personal hotel and spa, is as unusual as it is remote.

Open November 1 through June 7, VERANA never fails to enchant guests. Luxurious yet surrounded by unadulterated nature on all sides, it is an amazing destination for weddings, honeymoons and get-away-from-it-all packages that take advantage of the fine food, setting and spa.

VERANA has just 9 guesthouses that dot the 5-acre property, lush with tropical plantings and fruit trees. All the guesthouses are unique in concept and feel. As Architectural Digest's Kathryn Harris said, "The bungalows are part of an ongoing play between inside and out, past and present, privacy and community, nature and manmade."

Recently added are the 4 V-house buildings that offer amazing rooftop views, while offering tiny building footprints that minimise ecological damage.

The Bar serves up sunsets, signature cocktails and a wine list featuring international and local producers as well as a good selection of top shelf tequila from the region.

Honeymoons & Weddings
VERANA's remote and romantic setting has always drawn brides and grooms for their ceremony or just honeymoon. Special packages and a gift registry are available. The VERANA spa is fantastic for all couples and while any of the guesthouses are perfect, the most recent addition, The Tea House is most popular, spacious, and has its own plunge pool.

This is the most beautiful place I've stayed. It's incredibly romantic, well designed, and nothing to do except relax...which does not get boring there. The food is fantastic...I came away craving Mexican food instead of being over it. The staff is wonderful and the houses are all very different and gorgeous. The outdoor shower tops it off and the views are phenomenal. Their spa package "Starlight Soak" is beyond wonderful...I won't reveal all the details because the surprise of it is part of the fun. I want to go back so badly I can't stand it.
