Located on the famous Falez cliffs near Antalya, the world's only revolving hotel building gives guests magnificent 360° views. The complete 'Revolving Loft' annex building moves, with a full rotation of it's 24 guest bedrooms taking anywhere between 2 and 22 hours. The rotation is smooth, aided by 6 electric motors in the basement and you can go to sleep facing the sea and wake up facing the pool.
This 2750 ton building floats in a tank holding only 478 tons of water. With the 3 bottommost floors submerged, there is a lounge at the entrance and rooms on the other 3 floors. Yet somehow, the taps still work and the toilets still flush.
It is an impressive feat of engineering design. The complete hotel consists of 238 originally designed rooms.
An informal atmosphere centres around the Tuti Floor, which provides a common living space and sets the tone for comfort and design found throughout hotel. With glass on three sides, Tuti Floor was designed especially to offer guests the possibility for a relaxing social atmosphere in a home-from-home environment. Guests can eat while checking their e-mails, lie down on the sofas and read a book from the library, sip their drinks on the giant swing or play pool.
8 columns with different concepts were built on the Tuti Floor. A climbing column, an art gallery with various artists' works belonging to different periods, a library, the swing corner, a business centre with 6 computers, and office equipment with access to internet 24 hours a day, a graffiti column which you can freely transform your ideas, Sakiz Ana where you can taste unique flavors, and a spice column where special Turkish spices are on display.
