Bored of the international chains I'm always looking for a special place to stay - and this certainly is one. While the beds, bathrooms and technical equipment is brand new and state of the art, the furniture, lights and accessoires are vintage. So my stay was like a time travel to 1970 - minus the small TV and ugly bathrooms one had to suffer back then. The large shared living room / lobby is supercosy, a fridge and a sophisticated coffee machine are there free to use, so I felt at home immediately. The place is located in the rather quiet and safe Eixample area, a short walk to all the shopping streets and the old city. With the metro station just 50 meters and the notoriously cheap Barcelona taxis one gets everywhere in short time even when to lazy to take a walk. Particulary cool was the breakfast. I usually book without it because I rather sleep longer. Here the deal is: You get your breakfast at a beautiful cozy Café next door. I got mine at 13:00 and it was brilliant. Free WiFi all over the place (extremely important for me). I will for sure return.

A just renovated small Boutique Hotel in one of the nicest area's of Barcelona (Eixample Right), between Sagrada Familia and Plc Catalunya! Only 7 rooms. The atmosphere (combination of Retro & Jugendstil) is just brilliant. Very nice central area and the rooms are complete and the beds and bathrooms are just great! Everything you need is there! Very friendly staff and they know exactly where you need to go to experience the real Barcelona. Just ask! Breakfast is opposite where you stay in a local small Catalan bar; fresh juice & great coffee. Great value for money!
