| Spotlight - Sports As many travellers look forward to school holidays the UHOTW team spotlight member properties that have made Unusual efforts to cater for sporting activities over the summer.
While many head for the beach for watersports fun, canoeists are sometimes poorly served in the summer as water levels aren't aren't at their best. K.Mustafa Gorgun, Regional Manager of our Turkey and Northern Cyprus contributor team is collaborating with Hallmark Travel and Events to organise this years "Snowgolf Worldcup" event in 2010. Taking place at the Sakilkent Ski resort, Antalya next February, it is a celebrity event that welcomes famous sports and businessmen from around the world and has a Golden Putt competition with a cash prize!
Mustafa highlights "I don't think there is any other corner in the world to swim in the morning and play snowgolf in the afternoon. Antalya receives 300 days of sunshine a year yet is only an hour from the ski resort. The 4 day event allows guests to stay on the beach and in the ski resort and enjoy both beach and ice parties during the event. It certainly is one of the worlds most unusual sporting events of the year for both players and fans".
