Little Versailles of the Ardennes
Located in a magnificent countryside setting, in the heart of the Ardennes forests, “Le Manoir de Lébioles” welcomes its guests to a superb setting of discreet luxury, privacy and top-quality service.
One of the most beautiful buildings of the city of Spa, it was constructed for Georges Neyt (1842-1910), an extraordinary visionary, diplomat and foreign envoy who was alleged to have been the illegitimate son of King Leopold I. He had the house built for his own use between 1905 and 1910, but unfortunately did not live long enough to enjoy his “Little Versailles of the Ardennes” for long.
A family home of some glamour until 1980, it was sold and had success as a Hotel de Charme until 1999 whereafter it was mis-managed and fell into disrepair. New owners were installed and an international team of architects ensured that on reopening in 2006, the new building has every modern comfort, convenience and purity of line, without losing its ancient, graceful, soul.
