The 101st room
of the historic Laurin hotel of Bolzano is a touch of ‘magic in Magrè’ about a
half hour south of the South Tyrol
capital. This single suite is in Paradeis literally,
as the estate of the Laegeder
winemakers is called just that, installed though a joint venture to celebrate
100 years of Laurin’s history.
Your suite is a designer
‘modular dwelling’ situated in the English garden of the Lageder wine estate with
all the amenities of a four-star hotel. The design is an inviting combination
of an exclusive façade by the young South Tyrolean artist Claudia Barcheri, and
of stylish interiors equipped with antique furniture from Laurin dating from
1910, lovingly selected and restored in the hotel’s own joiner’s workshop.
Consider Paradeis
a fleeting opportunity. The installation is set to close permanently in November 2011.
