Converted schoolhouse for groups
Anne and Jean-Luc Laloux specialise in architectural photography, and travel the world in search of exceptional homes designed by the best contemporary architects. This enriching experience has inspired them to create beautifully appointed holiday accommodation which combines both the conviviality of group living with the aesthetic pleasure of great design.
La Classe, (The Classroom), is exceptional and a long way from any school memories that you may have! The quality of the materials, the wonderful use of space, the selection of designer furniture, the highest standard of facilities and fittings – all the ingredients to create a special atmosphere are here: the rest is up to you.
Architects, landscape designers, environmental sociologists, all agree that we think ‘differently’ in different places. There can be no doubt that your stay here will make you look at life in a new way.
“Trendy and comfortable school, filled with history”
Fancy a drink in the huge living room with its 9 m long bar? A Hitchcock thriller in the projection cinema with hi-fi surround sound system, perhaps? Or how about a fun evening spent playing table football and listening to the old Wurlitzer juke box?
Relaxing in the luxurious furniture, you can indulge yourself in the sort of conversation we never seem to have time for any more; meanwhile the kids can play on the basketball court, or with the giant board games in the playroom.
Situated in the village of Denee, which is part of the commune of Anhee, La Classe used to house both the municipal offices and the village school. It is situated in the heart of the village, less than 100m from the village square, on a one-way street at the far end of the square.
Denee is in the heart of one of the most beautiful regions of Belgium, only 5 minutes away from the Molignee valley and the Abbey of Maredsous, the gardens of Annevoie, close to Dinant and Namur. A number of great trips can be arranged, including group tours on Vespa and family treks on a pedal powered railcar.
