Hôtel le Donjon now has 61 rooms. The original owner of the 18 room Hôtel le Donjon was the father-in-law of current General Manager, Christine Pujol. Thanks to the purchase of an adjoining house in the 1980's, itself part of an ancient orphanage, Christine enlarged the hotel to 38 rooms. In 1999, the family bought adjoining hotel, les Remparts, a former mansion with magnificent sightseeing on the roofs and streets of the Medieval Citadel of Carcassonne, and in 2003, another private house joined the hotel.

As soon as one enters the Citadel, the medieval stones share stories of their history, but guests with the privilege to sleep in a real Medieval Citadel don't have to expect a Medieval welcome. Great facilities are provided!
Some rooms are decorated with exposed stones and some with contemporary decor. All share views over the towers of the city or the tree-planted garden. At the warmest times of the day, you can linger in this garden, redolent with Mediterranean scents, or on the establishment’s beautiful terrace.

Group and conference facilities.
The hotel organises business events by the day, in semi-residence and in residence.

The 100 m2 conference room, Adelaïde de Toulouse, opens directly on to the garden, is customizable and can accommodate 80 people. Equipment: internet – Wi-Fi access, television, VCR, overhead and video projector, screen, telephone.

The chef of the Brasserie du Donjon offers delicious, traditional dishes of the Cathar Country served with the best wines of the region. Thus, the indispensable cassoulet, risotto of Marseillette red rice, a plate of three “house” foie gras served with Muscat de Saint Jean de Minervois, etc.

Opposite the hotel, the Comptoir des Vins et Terroirs invites you, through tastings, on a virtual tour of discovery of the wines of Languedoc or just for a «wine lover’s» apéritif.
