Converted church in centre of Paris
Hidden in the middle of the historic Marais quarter, this minute but magnificent hotel was once the prestbytery of the adjacent Saint-Merry church, a flying buttress of which bisects one of the rooms. The 17th-century stone interior has been restored to it's gothic origins, with ornate headboards constructed from confessional boxes and iron candelabra hung from beamed ceilings. Three elements predominate in its decor, stone, iron and wood resulting in a Gothic style of great nobility. The creator of this place devoted his life to make this decor perfect.
