An updated townhouse bed and breakfast off Regency Square in Brighton, offering funky themed rooms. This was one of the first Brighton B&B hotels to add a little extra to guest experiences, and Hotel Pelirocco gives you an opportunity to have fun. Some of the nineteen rooms on offer are in need of a little TLC, but there are a number of great rooms that won't disappoint guests willing to put quirky style above a detailed designer finish.
Some of the rooms celebrate Brighton's saucier past, none more so than the "Play Room", which aims to be the hotels "dirty weekend" suite. Dedicated to all things decadent and indulgent, it combines kitsch and sexy boudoir with a circular bed and mirrored ceiling. Equally fun is the "Pin Up Parlour", styled after sex symbol Diana Dors. It's not all sex, however, and music lovers might be interested in the "Rough Trade Rough Nite" room, inspired by the original Rough Trade Record Shop in West London. A single-occupancy room, it has a record deck with headphones and record promos to play. This is not an up-market boutique property with bespoke fittings - and your bathroom is unlikely to be a highlight. However the staff are friendly and want you to enjoy your stay, so if you're unhappy don't be afraid to speak out. If a different room is available, ask if they'll offer you the option to move.
When staying in one of the top-floor rooms, the great news is that they've recently renovated the previously slow elevator. In the past it was regularly out of action and you had to negotiate a narrow staircase to your room.
