About Hotel Particulier Montmartre
Designer inspired theme rooms in Paris
An impressive white town house - formerly owned by the Hermès family, surrounded by a delightful garden, landscaped by Louis Benech (who redesigned the Tuileries gardens) and hidden in a secret hillside passageway, is home to the Hôtel Particulier Montmartre.
This small, but beautifully quirky hotel, offers guests an intimate atmosphere combining Art-house opulence, creativity and refined creature comforts. The five spacious suites offer garden views and have been individually designed with input from Morgane Rousseau and different contemporary artists.
UHOTW top tip... request a candelabra lit breakfast in your room - or on one of the garden terraces in summer. It's €25pp extra - but decadent and luxurious!
A unique, peaceful retreat set in one of the most historical and popular parts of Paris.

The walls are clad in a delicious dark chocolate brown velvet, setting off the "grandfather" striped drapes and thick camel carpeting. Pale pink lampshades diffuse a soft light as the room's design delicately plays with the contrast of classical décor against provocative curiosities displayed in a 19th century cabinet.

JUNIOR SUITE 4: "VEGETAL" - 390€/night per suite

With windows looking out onto the front garden, and a focal point of arboral wallpaper, the colourful images of tree branches create the feeling you are sleeping in a suspended garden, floating in an airy and luminous place, flowery and feathery. A sensual décor of wondrous colour blends into the trees beyond the windows of the room. The carpeting is earthern-coloured and the velvet drapes an immaculate white. Sixties style furnishings and mirrored surfaces reflect the luminosity of the surroundings. The apple-green bathroom, with it's enormous windows, is also bathed in light.

Guests can soak in the huge bath (with jacuzzi). Separate Bath & Shower, Separate WC, Hair dryer and Bathrobes.
JUNIOR SUPERIOR SUITE 1: "TREES WITH EARS" - 490€/night per suite
45 m2 - 1 Double bed (or 2 Twin beds), 1 Single bed
This suite can accommodate up to 3 people. Owner and designer, Morgane Rousseau commissioned Pierre Fichefeux to design a unique wallpaper adorned with indiscreet birds, heightened by inlaid gold-leaf. The fabrics of Japanese silk, gold and velvet couches contribute to the fairy-tale setting. An enormous mahogany closet, for guests with multiple shoes and accessories reigns over the bedroom. In the small salon, a bookcase holds antique books from another era to evoke romantic reveries. A baroque open bathroom, with crystal tear-drop wall lamps, offers its large mirror reflecting to both the salon and the bed. A raw silk curtain can be pulled closed to provide intimacy. The "Trees with Ears" suite looks out over the terrace and side garden of the hotel.
Bathroom:
Bath with shower, Separate WC, Hair dryer and Bathrobes.
JUNIOR SUPERIOR SUITE 3: "POEMS AND HATS" - 490€/night per suite
45 m2 - 1 Double bed (or 2 Twin beds), 1 Single bed
"Poems and Hats" can accommodate up to 3 people. Furnished in stark black and white with shades of grey this room evokes a haberdasher's shop. And as the name suggests, hats are incorporated into the décor (as lamp shades) while poems of Olivier Saillard, hang from lamps, bedposts and armchairs. Dior-grey carpeting spreads out like a flannel lake, long drapes tailored in the same tones, tennis striped materials all contribute to the ambient upholstered style, which looks out over the terrace and side garden of the hotel.
Bathroom:
The glass-enclosed central bathroom reflects inspiration from Mondrian paintings. Glossy black tiles give a 1950's feel and porcelain light fixtures create a luminary setting as in a black and white film of the same era. The sink and counters are cut from a single block of marble. Bath with shower, Separate WC, Hair dryer, and Bathrobes.
DELUXE SUITE 5: "CURTAIN OF HAIR" - 590€/night per suite
85 m2 - 1 King size double bed, 1 Double bed (or 2 Twin beds)
This Deluxe Suite has a separate alcove, and can accommodate up to 4 people. Accessed by a private spiral staircase, this loft-style expanse is on the top floor of the hotel, open-plan and, with it's skylight window, offers a panoramic view of Paris. The charcoal and cream decor has been kept plain and in the salon space of this suite, a Napoleon III style bathtub reigns supreme while dollhouse furniture peeks out from various nooks as if the scales of size have been tampered with. Black and gold striped carpeting shimmers like a dandy's dressing gown and blends with the cashmere drapes and upholstery. Painted Barbie doll eyes are hidden in different parts of the Suite, spying upon the traveller. Peering out from two large portraits of young women by the artist Natacha Lesueur are more eyes hidden behind strands of hair, hence the name of this penthouse suite "Curtain of Hair".
Salon:
The open salon offers a shower with walls tiled in copper ceramic and gilded mirrors and Napoleon III fixtures contribute to the atmosphere. Bath, bathroom with shower, Separate WC, Hair dryer and Bathrobes.
