Railway cabooses individually decorated
Enjoy the peace and tranquility of one of nine antique railroad cabooses, each decorated with an individual theme.
You can choose from the Las Vegas bordello themed La Loose Caboose, (with it’s red velvet and Mustang Ranch memorabilia) or the Art Deco styled Orient Express.
Perhaps instead you’re tempted by an overnight in Easy Rider? Themed features include an "Easy Glider" chair complete with saddlebags, Harley Davidson touches, a headboard with handlebars and a quarter-scale motorcycle replica in the caboose Cupola.
This romantic getaway is the perfect place to celebrate being in love or just enjoying the tranquility of the surroundings. You’ll find a more relaxed rhythm here, whether you’re on the porch of the 100-year-old Main Station or languishing in the pool.
The railcars all have an incredible view from their park-like setting under centuries-old trees, right on the shore of Lake County's Clearlake area, overlooking the private dock, boat launch and beach.
“Something for Everyone - All Aboard !”
Most of the cabooses feature in-room Jacuzzi tubs for two. All the cabooses are en-suite and offer individual heat and air conditioning and queen-size beds topped with a luxurious European style featherbed covers. Call with your requests for romance - or even to check on facilities for your pet. Some of the cabooses are dog friendly too!
Local regulations limit the number of guests in any of our rooms to two human occupants and California law requires that at least one occupant be an adult (at least 18 years of age) and an infant does count as one person in the eyes of the law.
The Featherbed Railroad is just 120 miles north of San Francisco and about 90 minutes away from Sacramento. Also nearby are Mendocino, Healdsburg and Calistoga.
There is a huge variety of nearby stuff to do, including almost 30 wineries, nature trails, fabulous water sports, bass fishing and great antique stores as well as peaceful, uncrowded country roads. It is the perfect place to unwind.
