The property offers 9 rooms and 2 suites that provide an intimate atmosphere combining the beauty of simplicity with comfort of modern equipment, including wifi and quality bath / shower fittings.

It has a fully glazed dining room overlooking the garden and forest, where breakfast and dinner are served. The special breakfast is included in the room rate and consist of: natural orange juice freshly squeezed, a variety of sweet and salty Galician specialities (which change every day), yogurts, coffee and so on. If the client wishes to practice any activity can order our energizing breakfast, based on natural banana milkshake, muesli, selection of nuts, dates, apricots and plums, toast with ham and  toast with butter and honey, coffee, tea etc. .
Also dinner on request.

Only 20 minutes from the property you can visit the magnificent scenery between the highest cliffs in continental Europe at Cape Ortegal, (mythical place where the Atlantic ocean meets the Cantabrian sea),  and Estaca de Bares, the most northerly point of Spain -

Nearby, bird watchers will want to visit the Ladrido Ramsar reserve, protected because of its high ornithological value for migrating and coastal birds.

El Castaño Dormilón invites you to enjoy different experiences;  from smelling the ocean...to enjoying a delicious seafood with a good wine ...or  swimming in not- crowed beaches ...or kayaking down the river.... taking a horseback ride... or hiking.

If you love surfing you must go to Pantin (35 minutes away) which hosts the world championships. It's up to you!
