Food
The Thai brasserie is a dramatic haven – steps lead down from the bar to a discreet room with real impact, there is a beautifully lit wine cellar to one side, mirrored ceiling, and faces that appear to be pushing through the velvet walls.  Royal Thai cuisine is prepared by Thai chefs using produce from the hotel’s farm and direct from Thailand. The English restaurant is bold and sumptuous – wine bottles form the ceiling, animal print covers the floor, and there’s lots of padded leather, mirrors, chandeliers and impressive lighting.  Modern British food is prepared using the freshest produce and meat that is home reared to specific menu requirements. Private dining, weddings and business meetings take place in a rich oak room (which has a civil marriage license), a garden log cabin and a huge Moroccan glasshouse which opens to terraces and a private copse.

Stadhamption, 20 minutes from the centre of Oxford. The property is set at the front of sixty acres of farmland, home to rare breed animals and The Crazy Bear Farm Shop which rears, butchers, cures and smokes it’s own produce for the hotel and retail customers.

Oxford offers some of the best architecture, universities and museums in the world (some dating 13th century), as well as punting, theatres, shopping, etc.  Other local attractions include Blenheim Palace, Wittenham Clumps, historical Dorchester Abbey, the river Thames and Bicester Village designer outlet. The hotel can arrange pretty much any activity in the area including hot air ballooning, helicopter rides, horse riding, quad biking, clay pigeon shooting, fishing, golfing, bike riding, etc.
