10 treehouses in natural setting
At the heart of the Sierra del Montseny, 84 km (52 miles) from Barcelona, you can rediscover your childhood dreams and live in a cabin in the treetops hanging 10 m above the ground attached to the trunks of robust Douglas firs.
Owners Karin and Manu have a clear idea of the site’s philosophy: “Our goal is to offer the pleasure of spending a night with a tree and its ecosystem, while teaching people about the importance of the environment.”
A year-round fantastic place
The first two tree houses opened in July 2009, and today there are ten:
Six 2-person cabins and Four 4-person cabins.
Once checked in, you’re overcome by the feeling of living a childhood adventure. The cabins built in the trees of Montseny have no ground supports. They are attached by several cables to divide the weight. Entrance is by a suspended bridge or a ladder.
All the cabins are made from wood (even the handles on the windows) and are built around the trunk. They are each 30 m2 with a terrace of 10 m2. The interior, through which the trunk passes vertically, is furnished with a double bed, sofa, table and chairs; there’s a “bathroom” area with jugs of water and a dry toilet.
Valid in 2011-2012 and 2 people per night, including breakfast (8% VAT).

The real life of a twenty-first-century Robinson Crusoe comes with its own challenges. The treehouses have no electricity (Karin and Manu provide candles and torches) and no running water, but a short distance away at Mas La Vileta (which also offers rooms), is the reception area where all amenities are located, including showers, toilets, a magnificent swimming pool and restaurant.
Don't forget to bring warm clothes - The resort is in the mountains!
