Cow Trekking

This isn't what you'd expect from the sober Swiss, but an organic farm in the small town of Hemishofen, about an hour from Zurich is offering cow riding treks from 1½ hour tasters, to a ½ day trek.

After a brief introduction to the animals you saddle up and get ready for the ride. During the excursion, ride across fields and meadows, along the river Rhine and through the forest.
Even the most devoted trekkers need a break, so they stop in a secluded spot for an organic snack. From here they head back towards the Bolderhof. After releasing the animals to pasture, they finish the day with a drink and snack.You can also sleep overnight, with accommodation ranging from an apartment to the hay loft, with sheets and sleeping bags provided.
