About ART Hotel Atelier sul Mare

I had always wanted to visit this hotel and was totally disappointed. Firstly, the owner and staff were rude (I've travelled throughout Italy for years and have never experienced such surliness)-the art concept is interesting, but in actuality, the rooms are dirty and uncomfortable. There is one "walkable" restaurant and they too were hostile (with bad food)-felt like we were in the twilight zone-we cut short our visit which I have never done at an Italian hotel

An excellent place to go and the different rooms a must see! Marvellous little village and blue sea. Very relaxing and entertaining at the same time. Try the open roof room and watch the stars above - gorgeous!

It's a very interesting Hotel and you can go there just for visiting, of course you have to pay the ticket (I remember 7 euro).

I stayed at the room created by Chilean director Raoul Ruiz, a circular one with black walls, a circular bed and an open ceiling to watch the stars while sleeping. The hotel is an unique experience, very interesting and nice, although the service and the food could be better. I enjoyed the rooms tour to visit each one of them (only when available). The restaurant at the veranda has a relaxed view over the bay. The hotel "beach" is just for jumping one time into the blue water, since there are many big stones and it's not so comfortable.

We stayed in the room called 'the nest' which was a large white round bed with high white circular walls around it and a satin bedspread which looked like feathers. It was fantastic - slightly wacky but really fun. The corridors and staricases are interesteing too with coloured rocks and painted doors contrasting the black and white floor tiles. A beautiful location with gorgeous sea views and a great cafe/restaurant next door. Highly recommended if you like art - the whole town is arty! There is asmall art gallery downstairs too.
